We want HERJC Nursery School to be a safe haven for all children. We ask parents to recognize the difference between allergies and a cold. Children must be fever free for 24 hours before returning to school. Keep the health of ALL children in mind when making the decision to send your child to school.
2 year olds - 1:4
3 and 4 year olds – 1:6
We are licensed by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services.
All of our staff are well aware of the dangers associated with allergic individuals and take appropriate care to avoid risking you child’s well being. The school has a nut free policy and all allergies are documented and posted. Please ensure that the director is aware of your concerns and the recommended treatment should there be any reason.
The first few days of school can be unsettling. There will be a short orientation the day before the school year starts which is a gently introduction. Please stay for this, and depending on your child’s comfort you may like to be close by for the first few days as well. The teachers are all experienced in dealing with any difficulties and will offer advice should you need guidance.
