The Hewlett-East Rockaway Jewish Centre, Congregation Etz Chaim, is proud to be an egalitarian traditional Conservative synagogue where men and women are encouraged to express themselves as Jews and participate fully and equally in all aspects of Jewish life and observance.
We are strongly committed to celebrating all facets of our tradition, and are known for the high level of participation by our members in all the spiritual, educational, cultural and social aspects of the Jewish experience.
We also take pride in being a diverse, warm, haimish, multi- generational congregation. Young families and their children are welcome not only in our schools, but also in our sanctuary on Shabbat and holidays.
HERJC offers a wide range of activities: religious services, holiday celebrations, adult education classes and programs, religious and nursery schools, youth groups, and a great deal more. Come celebrate Jewish life with us and share in a wide variety of religious, educational and social programs for members of all ages and stages.
